Spearmint - Mentha spicata

Perennial to zone 3 and grows to about 3 feet. A great addition to a perennial herb garden. Edible leaves can be added to smoothies and salads, or used to make tea. The leaves can also be cooked or made into a mint sauce. This plant grows aggressively and should be contained with a rhizome barrier. Plant oils can be used for oral hygiene. Plant makes a good companion plant to repel insects and even mice and rats.
