Horseradish - Armoracia rusticana

Easily grown perennial from zone 3- 10. Grows to about 1 metre (or 3 feet). Roots are used for making the wasabi-like condiment “horseradish”. Young leaves can be added to salads and sandwiches and provide a dijon mustard flavour.  Plant might make a good companion plant in fruit tree guilds because of anti-bacterial properties in the soil.
