Comfrey, Russian ‘Bocking 14′ – Symphytum x uplandicum

Perennial from zones 4-9. Preferred Russian variety for home, garden and medicinal use. Has the highest allantoin content. Rust resistant variety.  Attracts pollinators. Dynamic nutrient accumulator. Great fertilizer plant for mining nutrients and feeding other plants. Plant next to fruit trees as a “Chop-and-drop” plant; cut plant back multiple times in season and mulch fruit trees or other plants with the stem and leaves. Plant can also be added to compost, or put in water for a few weeks, diluted, and uses to fertilize plants. Use as compress for wounds.
